About The Nature Clinic

The Nature Clinic provides holistic, nature-based healing experiences for people impacted by trauma and systemic barriers to care. Our programs are grounded in a biopsychosocial framework, recognizing that healing from trauma requires addressing the interconnected physical, emotional, and social dimensions of wellbeing.

Our Unique Approach

Comprehensive Eco-Therapy Model

  • Biopsychosocial Framework: Every intervention addresses biological, psychological, and social factors

  • Trauma-Informed Care: Using ACE scores to understand and address root causes

  • Evidence-Based Practice: Rigorous research protocols in partnership with Penn's Positive Psychology Center/School of Social Work

  • Community-Centered: Free services delivered by trained volunteer therapists

This integrated approach acknowledges that trauma impacts every facet of a person’s life and that sustainable healing emerges from addressing all these layers simultaneously.

Our Why:

The Heart of The Nature Clinic

We believe that Nature is a necessity for healing and should not be a luxury.

For far too many, healing and genuine rest have become a privilege tied to income, access, and systemic oppression.

Our communities — especially Black, Brown, immigrant, and working-class families — have been taught that worth comes only through productivity. That burnout is normal. That rest must be earned.

In a world filled with trauma, disconnection, and stress, The Nature Clinic offers a sacred pause: a place where all are invited to remember how to feel, connect, and grow.
